Architectural and Spatial Strategies for Climate-Resilient Environments

Explores design and planning responses to climate risks through passive architecture, climate-responsive urban form, and integrated disaster risk reduction. Emphasis is placed on resilient housing, coastal adaptation, and flood- or heat-mitigating urban morphology.

Smart Technologies in Shaping Sustainable and Responsive Built Environments

Highlights the use of digital tools—such as BIM, GIS, smart city systems, and digital twin models—in enhancing the efficiency, adaptability, and environmental performance of architectural and urban systems.

Inclusive and Participatory Spatial Design for Community Resilience

Examines frameworks that prioritize inclusive design, social equity, and participatory planning processes to ensure the built environment serves diverse and vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, and marginalized communities.

Local Wisdom and Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development

Investigates how vernacular knowledge, indigenous spatial practices, and heritage values can inform contemporary design and planning to foster sustainability, identity preservation, and community resilience in both rural and urban settings.

Low-Carbon and Net-Zero Approaches in Architecture and Urban Planning

Focuses on integrated strategies to reduce carbon footprints through sustainable building materials, renewable energy in design, green mobility planning, compact city models, and low-emission infrastructure networks.

Nature-Based and Ecosystem-Centered Urbanism

Explores planning and design interventions that leverage green infrastructure, urban biodiversity, and ecological systems—such as urban forests, blue-green corridors, and watershed-sensitive layouts—to create adaptive and regenerative environments.
